Day 15 - June 3 Molinaseca to Villafranca del Bierzo
Hotel San Francisco tonight
14 miles today
As soon as we were out of town, we were surrounded with fields of vineyards. Absolutely stunning. The terrain was rolling with nothing steep like yesterday.
At one of the stops today Ann Marie observed a girl with bites all over both arms. After a look for photos on the internet, we think they were bed bug bites.
We decided to make today a shorter after the tough day yesterday. We took a transport for 5 miles. Tomorrow will be an all day up! So we had 14 miles instead of 19.
So far we have seen only one familiar face; Jack Daniels.
Our luggage was a little late today so we had to rest in the room with a liter of water and a couple of cold cervesas.
We are staying at the San Francisco Hotel in the Plaza Mayor. Beautiful village in the foothills. Nice warm day and having a late lunch and wine at an outside cafe.
Met up with the German group while we were eating and joined them while they enjoyed cold beers. Later while strolling thru the village we took this photo of 4 friends hanging out in the park. After our stroll, we sat for a while with a couple from New Mexico, George and Dava.
This was the best day so far.
Buen Camino

John and AnnMarie,
You guys are really trucking. Looks like all is well except for some small feet issues. I think you both are enjoying the Way by the beautiful pictures and comments. Denver has had rain and hail for the last couple of days but nice other than that. We will have beers when you return and hash over your trip. You are getting close to Santiago! Buen Camino.
